Ruben Montane is a Senior at Florida State University, majoring in Exercise Science. Ruben raced his first triathlon in 2003, where he placed in the top 10 of his age group. Since then, he has gone on to compete in the Collegiate Nationals in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, is currently the Vice-President of the FSU Triathlon Club, and has been appointed the President of the Tri Club starting in the Fall of 2007. 

Ruben is in the process of becoming a Level 3 cycling coach, and will be obtaining his Triathlon Coaching license in the near future. Ruben will be taking on an intern role with Training Bible Coaching Southeast, working with senior coaches to support clients in the North Florida region  His passion, enthusiasm, and commitment to the sport of triathlon, coupled with his Exercise Science background makes him an excellent coach for athletes that are new to the sport of triathlon and want to unleash their full potential.
